This photograph of Shen Ling, b. 1965, was taken in her studio in Beijing. Shen Ling is one of my favorite Chinese artists. Her early oil paintings are unique as they document the erotic life of her family and friends and break the stereotype about Chinese sexuality. She is a professor at The Central Academy of Art.
