Description
Fill over natural soil. -- Passageway - Lowest Fill over Natural Soil -- Fill including ash and slag. Scattered through full extent of the lcus over natural soil although depth of lenses varies. Includes thin ashy layers mainly light gray and light brown on generally flat layout, though deepening noticed in the section towards -- Represents earliest utilization of the gate structure complex, situated directly over natural soil. Beneath accumulation of ash representing industrial activities of the secondary phase of utilization.

Large quantities of pottery, some slag, many animal bones.
Locus above: 174 -- Locus contemporary: 190, 194
North: L151 (southern perimeter wall of northern chambers). South: L156 (northern perimeter wall of southern chambers. West: Outside fort compound. East: fort compound.
Area stratum A2b
The north. Over ash natural soil appears a layer of ca. 10 cm ash with crushed pieces of slag. Related o architecture of the earlier phases.
