Description
This dataset contains observational data and numerical simulations relevant to the associated publication on observations of Langmuir circulations. Observational data were collected in November 2020 from airborne instruments (MASS) and in-situ from autonomous wave gliders, drifting instruments, and ship-based measurements, collected by researchers at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Numerical simulations were run between 2021 and 2023 by researchers at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. The dataset contains the data and the processing routines necessary to generate the figures in Andriatis et al. 2024. This work was funded by the Office of Naval Research (award N00014-19-1-2635) and the National Science Foundation (OCE; Grant OCE-2219752).
