Description
Dr. Gunars E. Valkirs earned a PhD in Physics from UC, San Diego. Dr. Valkirs was a scientific investigator with the Diagnostics Research and Development Group at Hybritech Incorporated. During his tenure at Hybritech, he invented and developed the first rapid visual pregnancy test, the ICON® hCG test. Dr. Valkirs has served as Senior Vice President of Biosite Discovery and co-founder of Biosite Incorporated. Dr. Valkirs was responsible for the development of the Company’s antibody technology. He also served as Director of Nautilus Biotech.
