Description
Mian Mian is a well known Chinese female writer and underground celebrity whose writing has been banned in China because of its provocative subject matter – alienated, marginalized youth including lesbians and homosexuals – and its style and use of language. Mian Mian is a promoter of rock music festivals in China. Her novels have been translated into many languages. This photograph of Mian Mian dancing was taken in her Shanghai apartment.
