Description
The Gulf of California Marine Program at Scripps Institution of Oceanography has been working in the communities of Golfo de Santa Clara, El Indviso and San Felipe since 2009 in order to fully understand the fisheries dynamics in the region. By using technology (GPS data loggers), researchers and fishermen collaborate to generate data on how and where fishermen from these communities work. Data on fisheries catches and price are also gathered as part of the monitoring program.
