The Rodmans' home was in Lovatuweliweli, the name of Mathias Tariundu's sub-section of Waileni. Joel Mera, a master builder, built the house with the help of Bill Rodman's adoptive brother, Winston Alamera. It had split, woven bamboo floors and walls.
