Description
The base contains records of fish species (size, abundance, density and biomass), invertebrates (size, abundance and density) and coral cover obtained with visual censuses. In addition, information is available of the habitat structure obtained by Uniform Contact Point (PCU). All monitoring was carried out in the reefs located in the Huatulco National Park. The goal of the project is that in five years 90% of the coral reefs in the Mexican Pacific guarded by the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas (CONANP), will have a standardized and active biological monitoring program, and that the touristic activities are sustainable.
