Description
This data collection consists of Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) employment records for the base year (2000) and projected year (2010) industry-occupation matrices sorted by industry. The staffing patterns (percent of industry for each occupation that has employment in that industry) for the 2000 and 2010 matrices are included in this file. Also included in each record is the percent of occupation for each industry that has employment in that occupation as well the numeric and percent change for 2000-10. There are 897 detail and summary occupation codes and 342 detail and summary industry employment codes. Each data record contains one occupation and one industry code. Of the 897 occupations, 695 are detail and 202 are summary occupations. There are 270 detail and 72 summary industries in these industry- occupation matrices. Total employment or the data contained within the 'Total, all industries' industry is the sum of the following 4 summary industries: 1. Self-employed workers, all jobs 2. Unpaid family workers, all jobs 3. Wage and salary workers, secondary job in agricultural production, forestry, fishing, or private households 4. Wage and salary employment, all industries except secondary jobs in agricultural production, forestry, fishing, or private households It is important to note that only those industry-occupation cell records that have 50 or more workers in 2000 are displayed.
