Description
The photograph of Shen Jianhua (L) and Xiaopai (R) was taken in the small fishing village Shuang Lang which is one hour away from Dali. Several Chinese artists, designers, film directors and photographers have houses or guest houses there. Shen Jianhua is a photographer from Shanghai and Xiaopai is the wife of the designer Zhao Qing. Their children have been "home schooled" " according to traditional Chinese educational techniques: reading, memorizing and reciting Chinese classical texts.
