NO campaign: An elderly impoverished couple sells brooms to buy food daily. A censored segment from the September 12, 1988 Franja contradicts what Pinochet said about the freedom of the press. Protests in favor of labor rights. Singer Joan Manuel Serrat states that he does not think Pinochet is a democrat. Testimonies of street vendors selling merchandise of NO and YES campaigns. NO supporters say they are unafraid and proud to show their support. Plazas are filled with impoverished retirees. Retirees for NO. YES campaign: NO will bring violence, destruction, and poverty. Supporters of YES. Pinochet says to fight for your destiny. Chile is better off under Pinochet than it was before. Felipe Jerez Fernandez (a Chilean living in Peru) says Chile is better off than other countries in Latin America. Children's future will be secure with YES.
