Description
This database has information on the status of 121 artisanal fisheries stocks in the Gulf of California, Mexico. The status is estimated as the proportion of biomass per year compared to the pristine (or original) biomass. These assessments also provide information on current effort as a proportion of the maximum effort that each stock could stand in a sustainable manner. All calculations were made based on the method presented by Froese et al. (2018) named CMSY, and which was adapted for the Gulf of California by Giron-Nava et al. (2019).
