Description
Two typescripts of unpublished works relating to the life of Anna Held, an early La Jolla, California resident and founder of the Green Dragon Colony. The first work, Old Green Dragon days with Anna Held (1921), was written by Mrs. Denville, and completed by Olive Percival, with a concluding chapter by the latter. The second work, titled Joyous child (1939), is a fragment of a larger work by Havrah Hubbard, and also relates to Anna Held's life, her marriage to the composer Max Heinrich, and their milieu. The Green Dragon Camp, which was later commonly referred to as the Green Dragon Colony, was a popular resort consisting of seaside cottages frequented by visiting artists and musicians in the early days of La Jolla Special Collections & Archives, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/sca) Text Material separated from Neil Morgan papers
