Description
CARNIVAL IN MADRID. WELCOME TO FREED POLITICIANS. -- The principal revolutionary leaders set free from prison or returned from exile have arrived in Madrid. The synchronization of the Carnival with the demonstrations provided a strange contrast. In one part of the town confetti and serpentini were gaily flung about. Elsewhere were revolutionary hymns, clenched fists, and Communist banners. Photo shows some of the release Communist prisoners. Note the banner with the Communist symbol of clenched fists.
