Description
At John Banga's rank-taking, in the foreground is a 'sangarenboe' or a small 'mwele' to which no pigs are tied. It is planted on the morning of the rank-taking, and removed when the rank-taking has ended. It is said to "make the 'sara' (ceremonial field) holy".
