The University of California, San Diego has initiated a campus-wide campaign against racism in the wake of a student party that used a ghetto theme to mockingly commemorate Black History Month. A web site launched Wednesday outlines the "Battle Hate" campaign that aims to ensure that all students feel "safe, supported and respected" (The Associated Press, 2010).
