Description
NO campaign: Eugenio Tironi speaks about the reality of the Chilean masses and the false portrayal of modernity in the media. He claims the government is more in tune with foreign affairs than the actual living conditions of the Chilean people. People's testimonies about why they will vote NO. Censorship of the NO campaign. Patricio Bañados outlines voting procedures and warns Chileans about voter intimidation. YES campaign: Patricio Aylwin (President of Christian Democratic Party) vs. Ricardo Lagos (President of Party for Democracy and Future President of Chile 2000-2006) depicts Lagos as a socialist and Aylwin states that socialism does not work. Both represent the opposition, but they support contradicting ideologies. Inflation and slander against NO leaders. Havana, Cuba is a place where "happiness" has come. Images of Fidel Castro shaking hands and meeting with NO leaders: Radomiro Tomic, Pascal Allende, Jorge Lavanderos, Rafael Marotto, Luis Corvalan, and Hortensia Bussi. Unmasking the wrongdoings and real intentions of NO leaders. Voting YES for Pinochet will ensure a true democracy. Footage of the "Carretera Austral" (Austral Highway), the most significant infrastructure initiative of the Pinochet regime, aiming to help transport goods and connect remote areas of the country.
