"'Our' bridge. It has to be repaired at least once an month. All trips to and fromTabibuga, the patrol posts, require its traversing. Its a real experience. We don't shake with nervous exhaustion anymore after crossing it, we used to at first. Its particularly bad if it hasn't rained in a few days because then all the vines and cane dry out and start to part, all the vines and canes dry and out and start to part, rain keeps them pliant, of course, it all helps them to rot. Anyone for a visit." MSS187, Box 44, Folder 9.
