Description
Han Xiangning's studio overlooking Erhai Lake with views of the mountains in the background was for many years an important cultural institution in Dali. Originally it was designed by the Taiwanese artist Hang Xiangning for his personal studio which he often used for hosting parties attended by Chinese artists, writers, film directors and television personalities from Beijing, Hong Kong, Taipai and NYC. Later it was given official status as a museum, but the local government tore it down at the end of 2018 to comply with its new development plans for the lake. After it was destroyed, an entire way of life ended . UC San Diego Library, UC San Diego, La Jolla, CA 92093-0175 (https://library.ucsd.edu/dc/contact)
