Description
One of five photographs that document an afternoon and evening that Yan Li (L), Chinese poet and artist, and I had at the NYC apartment of Liu Sola (R), music composer, singer and writer, several months before Yan Li and Sola returned to China. In this photograph, Yan Li and Sola are discussing material for a memoir Sola was planning to write. Yan Li and Sola were active in “alternative” cultural circles during the 1980s in Beijing.
