Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript. Notations at beginning and end of sermons indicate places and dates of delivery.
Scope/Content: Volume of manuscript sermons, probably by William Gannett, the rector of Puddimore and Mells, Somerset during the years 1706-1750. The sermons are all on various biblical passages and notations placed variously at the beginning or the end of the items indicate where they were delivered and when. Most sermons were delivered more than once in Puddimore, Mells and other parishes such as Yeovil during the 1709-1742 period. Gannett was rector of Mells and a canon of Wells at his death in 1750.
Condition: Bound in original paper wrappers; in modern grey cloth case.
