Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript. Scope/Content: Manuscript scorebook compiled by an anonymous music copyist, containing various works by Henry Purcell. Most of the music consists of suites of movements from A Collection of Ayres (London, 1697) and is arranged in order of keys from G major to F major. Citation/Reference: A checklist of the manuscript sources of Henry Purcell's music in the University of California, William Andrews Clark Memorial Library, Los Angeles / by Richard Charteris. In Notes: Quarterly Journal of the Music Library Association,Vol. 52, No. 2 (Dec., 1995), pp. 407-421. Condition: Bound in half suede with very worn marbled boards. Much wear to spine and corners. Front free endpaper almost completely loose from text block.
