Scope/Content: Manuscript. With a signed and dated dedication by Nott to his son John. Scope/Content: Manuscript volume of meditations, thoughts, prayers and diary entries written by Edward Nott, for the education and religious instruction of his son John in 1699. The volume is filled with dated entries beginning in 1672 and the author also makes note of important family events, like the births and baptisms of his children. Condition: Bound in old calf with blind stamping on covers; Chipping and cracking to hinges and spine.
