Description: Scope/Content: Manuscript. Title from inscription on front paste-down endpaper, which continues "1694, 1697, 96, 99, 1700 at Tewkesbury 31 years & a halfe & yn at Walsall from Sept 29 1731.
Scope/Content: Manuscript volume containing sermons written by James Warner, as well as a list of baptisms performed by him from 1694-1724 in various towns throughout Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Gloucestershire, including Ashby-de-la-Zouche, Tewkesbury, and Hartshorne. The sermons are written fairly neatly, though there are some emendations and additions written at a later date in Warner's hand. Following the sermons, there is a list of places and dates at which he delivered them, spanning 1693-1737, and including Hartshorne, Ashby, Hollington, Tewkesbury, Grafton and Walsall.
Condition: Bound in full brown calf with blind tolling to covers. Leather deteriorated at spine and back cover detatched. Housed in mordern cloth case.
