Scope/Content: Manuscript. Several entries written in shorthand.
Scope/Content: Manuscript volume containing accounts, inventories and family history information about the Tuthill family of Somerset and Ireland. This volume was begun by Christopher Tuthill (1650-1712) and was used for household inventories, book inventories, accounts, recipes and to record important dates and events in his and his family's lives. His male descendants -- ending with John Tuthill (1793-1876) in 1858 -- also used the volume to continue entering important life events such as births, marriages, deaths, and migrations.
Condition: Bound in black leather with traces of metal and leather clasps.
