Scope/Content: Manuscript. Table of contents on preliminary pages. Loose hinges and some loose pages; some mold staining to blank pages at end of volume; front and back endpapers torn with traces of red sealing wax.
Scope/Content: Manuscript poetical miscellany composed around 1750, containing a variety of poems, both published and possibly unpublished. Poets represented include Elizabeth Carter, Alexander Pope, Jonathan Swift, William Whitehead, David Garrick, and many others. Poems are all written in a neat, fine hand. Many are related to social life at Bristol, Bath and Tunbridge Wells.
Condition: Bound in original vellum; loose hinges and some loose pages.
