Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in printed book.
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by several people in a copy of Joseph Moxon's A tutor to astronomie and geographie, which apparently circulated among schoolchildren in Thorney, Cambridgeshire in the 1740s and 1750s. It appears that the main annotators of this volume are William Toola and Thomas Ponton, whose names are inscribed multiple times, but it is possible that there were other contributors. Annotations include doodles and drawings as well as mathematical equations and the calculations for a sundial using the coordinates of Thorney.
