Description
Scope/Content: Multiple inscriptions on the first page of the volume denote it as being "Lib. 2dus" and "Vol. secundum, " but no other related volumes are in the Clark's collections. Addenda to various sermons laid in at end on smaller sized pieces of paper.
Scope/Content: A manuscript volume of sermons by John Lloyd, the vicar of Epping beginning in 1710. The sermons are all noted as being written in the period 1705-1706, but Lloyd used this volume throughout his career: dates of delivery range from 1705 to 1732; there is one notation of 1752, but that is the latest date represented here.
Condition: Bound in very worn calf; defective spine with detached covers and some loose pages.
