Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in printed book.
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by Hannah More in her Bible, which she presented to William Weller Pepys in 1821, at which point he may have contributed some additional annotations. Annotations consist of copious textual notes and markings in the margins of the text, particularly in the Book of Job. There is also a smaller sheet of paper tipped in at leaf C3, headed "Chapters retained in Watt's Bible."
Condition: Bound in contemporary diapered calf, floral rule in gilt on both boards, stamped in gilt on spine. Front board nearly detached.
