Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript. Illustrations in pencil and in ink on several pages throughout volume; calligraphic embellishments of titles and capitals.
Scope/Content: Manuscript volume of poems written by Samuel Greatheed, dissenting minister and editor of the Eclectic Review. The poems are apparently all original (some are translations of works from French by other authors) and many are dated between 1772-1773. The entire volume is written in an elaborate, neat hand, with embellished titles and some illustrations.
Condition: Bound in full vellum wallet binding with marbled endpapers.
