Scope/Content: Manuscript volume of religious arguments proving the existence and divinity of one God, drawing on Biblical and Classical arguments. The volume is written throughout in a neat 17th century hand. The name Aletheia Fairfax" is inscribed in the volume in what might be the same hand as the rest of the text. It is unclear if this is Aletheia Howard Fairfax, the wife of the 2nd Lord Fairfax, or another woman by that name.
Condition: Bound in calf with gold tooling to covers and spine; speckled edges; cracking and damage to spine and hinges.
