Scope/Content: Manuscript. Bottom of page 33 of first sequence: "Joseph Hill." Tables of contents to parts 1 and two on p. [i-ii]. Lower part of pages 1-2 excised, and slip of paper inserted with straight pin.
Scope/Content: Manuscript work on philosophy, dated 1685, and written (or at least copied) by one Joseph Hill. The volume contains two parts, the first a discourse on human pleasures and impulses, and the second a demonstration of this discourse by way of classical-style dialog.
Condition: Bound in full green vellum with gold tooling.
