Description: Scope/Content: Scribal manuscript collecting together various unpublished poems by Laurence Eusden. Notes on the last page of the text seem to indicate that this manuscript was circulated in hopes of securing a publisher, but it appears that these attempts were unsuccessful. Eusden and his poetry were often the butt of criticism from others such as Alexander Pope, but articles on Eusden often mention that he never retaliated against these attacks in print; however, one poem here does appear to be a satire on Pope, "Pope's lewd Pen, or lewder Tongue."
