Description: Scope/Content: Manuscript.
Scope/Content: Manuscript collection of songs by Charles Dibden, written sometime after 1794, based on the known performance dates of the "entertainments" included. Written throughout 2 volumes in a very neat, very uniform hand with indexes at the end of each volume. Tipped in at the back of Volume 1 are the printed score for Dibdin's Adam and his Rib (1808) and several clippings about Dibdin from John Hollingshead's The story of Leicester Square (London, 1892). All of these tipped in items have handwritten notes by a late-19th or 20th century collector, perhaps the person who had the items rebound.
Condition: Bound in 19th century half calf with marbled boards and morocco labels to cover and spine; front board completely detatched.
