Scope/Content: Annotations likely by J. Bridges of Gray's Inn (or perhaps by Jonathan Richardson) in the 4th edition of Paradise Lost. Annotations consist of scholarly notes in the margins of the text, written in English, Greek, Latin and Italian. Most annotations appear to be glosses on the text, with citations to other works.
Condition: Rebound in modern quarter leather with marbled boards.
