Scope/Content: Lines for the character of Captain O'Cutter in George Colman's play The jealous wife. These lines were transcribed from a printed edition of the play, and then altered extensively in the hand of the actor J. Robertson who played Captain O'Cutter in a 1761 production staged in York. "J. Robertson" is probably James Robertson, a popular 18th century comedic actor in York. Enclosed in the modern linen case with the manuscript is an etching of Robertson by Frederick Atkinson.
