Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations in printed book.
Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by George Costard, at the time a fellow at Wadham College, Oxford, in his 1736 copy of the Newton's Method of fluxions and infinite series. Annotations consist of copious marginal notes and equations throughout the text as well as on additional leaves laid in throughout. All annotations appear to be in Costard's uniform neat hand.
Condition: Bound in half calf with marbled boards; many leaves at front and back of volume completely loose, spine heavily worn.
