Scope/Content: Manuscript volume containing a fair copy of John Windover's England's worthies, dedicated to Sir Thomas Fairfax. The volume itself was once part of the collection of historian and antiquary Ralph Thoresby and appears to bear his autograph on the verso of the front free endpaper. It later was part of the library at the Bristol Baptist College, having been donated by wealthy local churchman Richard B. Sherring.
Condition: Bound in full vellum with gold tooling to covers and spine; traces of ribbon ties.
