Scope/Content: Manuscript notebook containing original commentary in Latin on Roman history, Bible citations, legal formularies and contracts, veterinary and human medical prescriptions and some family vital records. It is likely that this book was the property of Thomas Pearks, of Hopesay in Shropshire, but it could also have belonged to another member of the Hopesay Pearks family. The volume contains some passages from Allestry, Taylor and Pearson, and is written in both Latin and in English.
Condition: Bound in original full calf; leather very worn and separated from boards.
