This book of practical geometry: performed during the three first months of my residence at the Royal Military Academy, Little Chelsea, since that institution came under the direction of Mr J. Loch{acute}ee Junior and Jno. Lambelet, is respectfully presented to the Right Honorable Sr. Henry Clinton, knight of the Most Noble Order of the Bath, colonel of the Seventh Regiment of light horse and lieut. general of his Majesty's Forces /by his dutiful son, Wm. Henry Clinton.

Scope/Content: Contains 29 leaves of black and white geometric diagrams, 2 leaves of colored diagrams, and one folded color map. Scope/Content: Manuscript volume of geometric diagrams and illustrations, prepared ca. 1787 by William Henry Clinton at Lewis Lochée's military academy at Little Chelsea. The book, presented to his father, Sir Henry Clinton, includes several detailed color illustrations in addition to black and white color drawings and a large folding map of the Battle of Crevelt. Condition: Bound in crimson straight grained morocco; gold tooled with gilt edges; marbled endpapers.
