Scope/Content: Eighteenth century commonplace book originally kept by Ann Bromfield, containing cooking recipes, drafts of personal correspondence and poetry by Lyttelton, John Campbell, Mrs. Elizabeth Rowe and others, as well as some possibly original compositions. The volume was later inherited by Bromfield's grandson, G.W. Newnham, who used it to draw up a calendar of important birthdays, and a coin collection inventory. The book contains inscriptions and bookplates by other members of the Newnham family (possibly G.W's children).
