Scope/Content: Manuscript. Title from Catalogue of the Phillipps collection (Catalogus Librorum Manuscriptorum in Bibliotheca D. Thomas Phillipps). Scope/Content: Manuscript calendar of historical documents related to the history of the Holman family in England, likely complied by George Holman, but written in several different late 17th- and early 18th-century hands. An index to the manuscript follows on a different sized paper and is likely written in the hand of George Baker (1781-1851), whose history of Northamptonshire was published in several parts between 1822 and 1841. Condition: Bound in 19th century half calf with marbled boards; portions of spine missing; text block much smaller than binding.
