Description
Scope/Content: Manuscript copy of William Bird's Treatise concerning the nobility, which was published with some alterations as Magazine of honour in 1642. This version adheres very closely to the published text, though it contains marginalia not present in the printed version. This text is bound together with Sir John Borough's Observations concerning the nobility of England auncient and moderne and John Selden's The Priviledges of the Baronage of England, which all appear to be written in different, yet roughly contemporary hands.
Condition: Contemporary plain sheep binding with triple-ruled border in blind; contemporary metal clasps; printer's waste in binding.
