Identified persons: (L-R) Max H. Behr, George Duncan, (far right) N. Macbell. One of the middle two men is E. S. "Scotty" Armstrong. These four gentlemen may not have played this course together. The location, Midwick Country Club, is identified in the article "Hillcrest and San Diego Turn in Decisive Victories in Interclub Team Competition: Pasadena Golf Club Defeated," Los Angeles Times, 12 Jan. 1925: 11. This article reads: "E. S. Armstrong, G. Parker Toms, Max Behr and A. A. French made up one of the most formidable foursomes to face Old Man Par yesterday at Midwick."
