Description
View of a biplane in an exhibition hall. Tassels and fringe hang from the ceiling. To the upper left of the plane hangs a sign reading "Western Air Express." There are two signs on the plane itself: one on the lower left wing, reading "Souvenir California Booster Letter, Ready for Air Mail East - 10 ¢", and another on the engine body reading "Airplane Trips 2 Free." Reported in "Fourteenth Annual Automobile Show Closes Tomorrow After Record Attendance: Air Mail Campaign Success is Recognized," Los Angeles Times, 5 Mar. 1927: 6.
