It is likely this image was taken during Albright's 1927 visit to West Coast parks, reported on in "Albright and Edwards Will Be City Guests," Los Angeles Times, Mar. 29, 1927: 5. Horace M. Albright served as Assistant Director of the National Park Service, a role he held from 1917-1928. In 1929, Albright became director of the NPS. He later served as superintendent of Yellowstone National Park and, for a short time, Yosemite National Park. Miner R.
