Description
It is likely this image was taken during Albright's 1927 visit to West Coast parks, reported on in "Albright and Edwards Will Be City Guests," Los Angeles Times, Mar. 29, 1927: 5.
Horace M. Albright served as Assistant Director of the National Park Service, a role he held from 1917-1928. In 1929, Albright became director of the NPS. He later served as superintendent of Yellowstone National Park and, for a short time, Yosemite National Park.
Miner R. Tillotson was the resident engineer, and later, superintendent of Grand Canyon National Park.
