Description
Charles Owens was the son of Robert Owens, Sr., early African American pioneer, Los Angeles landowner and successful livery stable owner. Charles married Ellen Mason, the daughter of Biddy Mason, an early African American pioneer and Los Angeles landowner, in 1856.
