Description
Los Angeles motorcycle police officer Oscar Bayer in his police uniform. He sits in front of a cabinet containing glass shelves of medical instruments. Bayer "wrote a page of police history," when he raced after five bank robbers traveling by car, took three bullets, and still bested the shooters. This image appears with the article "Hail Bayer Fightin' Hero...," Los Angeles Times, 23 Aug. 1925: 2.
