Description
"Pancho" (Florence Lowe) Barnes stands on a tarmac holding an envelope, ribbon, and flower in her right hand. She has a large smile on her face. She wears a pilot's cap with goggles on her head and a sleeveless button down shirt tucked into flight pants. Two women stand to her right behind her; they each look to their right. The image was possibly taken pre-takeoff of the Santa Monica-to-Cleveland derby race in August 1931.
