Description
Beck was known as "Billye Beck" and "Billy Beck." Reported in "Biltmore Has Only New Presentation," Los Angeles Times, 14 Sep. 1924: B27 and in "Carroll Revue Has Two Screen Players," Los Angeles Times, 26 Aug. 1924: A9. The latter article states "Miss Billye Beck is now at the Christie studios with a two-year contract. She also was a former Orpheum star. She was here two years ago in an act with that organization and was taken ill with appendicitis. After the operation she remained here, and soon became identified with the movies, first at the Hal Roach studios."
